About Nichola

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working within Warwickshire and the West Midlands. I have worked in a variety of settings, and have a special interest in addictions and also working with adolescents. My knowledge and experience enables me to work effectively with clients presenting with many different issues; offering comprehensive assessment and treatment plans.
I work with individuals, couples and group settings. I work with both adults and adolescents.
In addition to my private practice, I have worked in an addictions rehabilitation centre, dealing with a wide range of addictions including marijuana, heroin, crack, cocaine, gambling and others. I have also worked in a number of different centres treating clients who are dealing with physical, mental and sexual abuse.
I am currently setting up group therapy with families and friends of people suffering with addictions.
My experience has proved that by offering a safe, confidential and professional environment, clients can work through and overcome their issues. I have witnessed successful outcomes even with the most severe cases of abuse and trauma.
I have studied counselling and psychotherapy up to Masters level, and I am due to embark on a Doctorate programme. I am currently lecturing, part time, at a University on a Counselling and Psychotherapy Degree.
I am a member of the BACP, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and adhere to their ethical guidelines. A copy of their guidelines is available for all clients, or can be viewed on their website, www.bacp.co.uk
In compliance with their guidelines I work with professional supervision, to ensure ethical and safe practice.
